Your entry into The Great British Duck Race
You must be over the age of 16 to enter into the Great British Duck Race. This is a legal requirement and any entries from underaged people will be disqualified from the race.
Your duck number will be randomly generated at the time of registration. On the day of the race ducks will be "dumped" into a holding pen on the River Thames. Ducks will be released simultaneously and will "race" along a 1km stretch of water. In the possible occurrence that the ducks are not propelled down the river by natural current, wave-makers will be used.

The Guinness World Records have strict guidelines that must be adhered to in order for the World Record Breaking attempt to be recognised. The guidelines are as follows:
- The event should be organised, preferably in aid of charity, and should only take place on a suitable stretch of running water where prior permission from the appropriate authorities has been obtained. A copy of that permission must be submitted with the record claim.
- All ducks should be identical.
- A count of the number of ducks taking part must be taken before the event, by some accurate method to be used must be pre-approved by Guinness World Records. Each duck should be numbered and details of the person winning the race should be submitted with the claim.
- The start line and finish line must be a minimum of 1km apart.
- All of the ducks must be removed from the water as soon as the race has finished.
Winning Ducks
Winning duck numbers will be published on The Great British Duck Race website on Monday the 6th of September 2010. Winning duck numbers can also be obtained from the Duck Race office and from our registered charities. Prizes must be claimed by the 31st of December 2010. Any unclaimed prizes will be distributed to charities accordingly or carried over to the next Great British Duck Race.

Tax information
